The Protection of the Theotokos is the appearance of the most holy Theotokos in the Church of Blachernae in Constantinople in the early sixth century, as recorded in the life of Saint Andrew the Fool for Christ's sake. While the multitudes of the faithful were gathered in church, Epiphanius, the friend of Saint Andrew, through the Saint's prayers, beheld the Virgin Mary above the faithful and spreading out her veil over them, signifying her unceasing protection of all Christians. Because of this we keep a yearly feast of gratitude, imploring our Lady never to cease sheltering us in her mighty prayers.

The Holy Protection of the Theotokos /Saint Isidore of Sevilla Mission is in need of Volunteers to help with the chants of the Liturgy (chorus) at least once or twice a month. We follow the Greek style and we do the service in three languages. Spanish, English and Greek. We combine them throughout the service.

We are also in need of help in the teaching department for the children. We are a small Parish that is run by the family. So any help that we can get is a blessing from God.

If you or anyone you know might be interested in helping please contact us by leaving a message at the message board, or email.

Thank you and God Bless
